Doin' It

I used to just skate by

Looking at things as they passed by

Not asking for much, just keeping it simple

Maybe not giving enough back

That was then, this is now

I'm doing all I need to

To keep my future alive

Making sure I make each thing I do matter

I'm looking for it all

I'm ready to take the world over

Not so simple any more

No more skating by

No more working part-time

This is it

I'm here one hundred percent

Creating everything I have

I've always cared

But it seems, sometimes

Life just got the best of me

Not any more

I'm giving my best to the world and life

I'm taking what is mine

Making sure I reach my Personal Legend

Day By Day

Another day to be thankful

Another day to be grateful

A day to make those around me proud

A day to be happy and joyful

There is plenty for me to be upset about

But why dwell on the bad

When there is much more good

More to be happy about

It's another day I've been given

For this day I will smile

I will do everything I can

To make it a day to remember

each day will pass us by

So make it count

because soon it will be a memory

Something to look back on, so be happy and smile about it

This day is my day

This is my time

To make all my goals become reality

To touch the clouds I reach for

This isn't for you
I do this for me
